Thelma Bjorge 1928 – 2006
Today was a sad day for my family, as my grandmother passed away early this morning. She was diagnosed with lung cancer a couple of years ago, and was being lovingly cared for by my mother for the last few months of her life.
Thelma was an incredibly strong, feisty woman of Norwegian and Scottish descent, who raised six children in a very remote and rugged homestead in northern BC. Life was never easy on her, but she always maintained her stoic exterior, and I’m sure that much of my questioning, independent spirit comes from her.
She was predeceased by her two husbands and two of her siblings, and I’m sure she’s having a wonderful time catching up with them.
We’ll miss you, grandma.
lots of love to you and your family.
I’m very sorry for your loss. ((HUGS))
Phelan and Steph – thank you so much for your kind thoughts.
I’m so sorry to hear this news – please give your mum a hug for me.
Thank you, Paula, I will.
